About

A small Texas practice with an unfashionable opinion.

Most of the industry decided that useful AI has to live in somebody else's data center. For a lot of organizations that's simply not available — and for many of the rest, it's an expensive habit they didn't need to acquire. Jackalint exists for both.

Two reasons to call us
“We're not allowed to send this out.” Privilege, PHI, classified material, contractual bans.
“The bill keeps growing.” Same functionality, on hardware you already bought.

How we work, stated plainly

We'll talk you out of it if we should

A fair number of assessments end with a short document explaining why the workflow in question isn't worth automating yet. That document is free, and it's the most useful thing we produce for some clients.

You own everything we build

Weights, code, evaluation sets, documentation. No license that expires, no component only we can service, no data held hostage to a renewal.

Written down, not demonstrated

Architecture, decisions and evidence come as documents your IT team and your auditors can read without us in the room. Demos are easy; defensible records are the job.

We stay small on purpose

A handful of engagements at a time, run by the people who scoped them. You will not be handed to a delivery team you've never met.

Founder

Travis M. Samuelson

Cybersecurity engineer turned AI security consultant. CySA+ certified, with military and state government experience across red and blue team work.

He has developed and released two AI security tools, and builds AI solution pipelines hands-on — including the locally hosted inference environments Jackalint deploys for clients.

Offensive AI research

Author of Openwar, a free orchestration platform that emulates nation-state and syndicate attack chains against the MITRE ATT&CK framework — with no external dependencies, running on locally hosted models.

Exposed-model research

Author of Parakeet, which sweeps for default-credentialed AI servers left open to the internet — the failure mode most organizations don't know their own deployment already has.

What we're not going to claim

You won't find logo walls or invented statistics on this site. Our clients handle material they can't discuss, and in this field a vendor waving anonymous case studies at you should raise an eyebrow rather than lower one.

What we'll do instead is walk you through the architecture in detail, put you in front of the engineer who'd build it, and give you a written assessment you can hand to your own IT and compliance people to pick apart. Judge us on that.

Come tell us what you're not allowed to move.

Every initial discussion and consultation is free. You'll speak to the person who would do the work.
